Magbei noted in the statement that the shift in date was to allow the Local Organizing Committee ample time to put things in appropriate perspective.

While apologizing for the inconveniences the shift will cause, Magbei ensured an optimal experience for attendees of the event remains a priority.

Announcing the new dates, Magbei said;

“We regret to announce that the Tare Magbei Scrabble Tourney has been shifted to a new date to allow our Local Organizing Committee ample time to put things in appropriate perspective.

“With a priority to provide the optimum experience for our participants in mind, we hereby declare that the tourney will now hold between December 20 and 21, 2022 at Burutu.

“We are deeply sorry for any inconveniences this move will cost our participants and spectators. Be rest assured that this is in the best interest of all parties.”
