Everton have sacked head coach, Frank Lampard.
The former Chelsea manager wad fired on Monday after the board made a final decision on his future at the club.
The decision followed a run of poor performances Everton has recorded in the ongoing season under Lampard’s tutelage.
Everton are currently battling for survival in the Premier League as they sit in 19th place in the relegation zone with just 15 points after 20 games played.
They have won only three matches this season, losing 11 on the bounce.
He was told his fate during a phone call with Everton’s major shareholder, Farhad Moshiri, after a 357-day spell in charge of the club.
Lampard’s sack had been forth coming and speculations had sprouted up on Sunday after Everton’s loss to West Ham.
Reports say Lampard was in a meeting with Moshiri, Chairman Bill Kenwright and Everton’s Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell.
Everton fans had also called for his sacking which seemed inevitable, putting more pressure on the club’s management, following their poor performance during this season.
