BREAKING: Fire Guts Warehouse In Oyo

BREAKING: Fire Guts Warehouse In Oyo | Daily Report Nigeria

Fire on Wednesday razed the raw material warehouse of Sumal Foods Limited, located at Oluyole Industrial Estate, in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

The fire outbreak, which started in the early hours of Wednesday, began from the bread section of the Sumal warehouse.

The actual cause of the outbreak could not been ascertained as of the time of filing this report.

The General Manager, Oyo State Fire Service, Yemi Akinyinka, confirmed the incident to newsmen.

He said,

“Yes, we are aware of the fire incident which started around 3 am. Our officers are there and have successfully controlled the fire incident.

“The Federal Fire Service is also there and some other agencies. Our men are still there so I cannot give you detailed information now.”

Also, the Oyo State Police Command Spokesperson, Adewale Osifeso while confirming the incident said,

“The Incident was reported around the early hours of today. Thankfully no fatalities were recorded.

“Discreet investigations have also commenced ascertaining the possible cause of the incident. Updates would be provided accordingly.”
