The Peoples Democratic Party has suspended its national chairman, Iyorchia Ayu.
The Executive Committee of the PDP in the Igyorov ward of Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State initiated the national chairman’s suspension from the party.
According to them, it suspended Ayu due to alleged anti-party activities after the executives passed a vote of no confidence on him.

They argued that Ayu and his allies’ anti-party activities contributed to PDP’s loss in his ward and Local Government in the governorship election.
