AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is calling on Samuel Chukwueze to elevate his performance on the pitch.

Samuel Chukwueze, who arrived at San Siro from Villarreal last summer, has faced challenges making his mark with the Italian giants.

Despite featuring in 15 league matches, the Nigerian forward is yet to find the net for AC Milan. However, he has managed to score twice and contribute one assist in UEFA Champions League fixtures.

Pioli drew parallels between Chukwueze and American winger Christian Pulisic, who also made the switch to AC Milan last summer.

“Pulisic and Chukwueze have the same characteristics,” Pioli told the club’s official website.

“Pulisic scores goals, assists and works.

“Chukwueze has to score goals, he has to get assists and has to work.”
