According to Le Parisien, the Nanterre office holds the opinion that sufficient evidence has been amassed by the year-long investigation into the allegations from early 2023 for a trial, though, of course, such a request is not an implication of guilt.
The former Inter Milan defender was first charged in March 2023 and was placed under judicial supervision following a brief period of custody.
The 26-year-old ex-Real Madrid and Inter Milan defender has all along denied the charge and has cooperated fully with the authorities.
As the matter moves into the courtroom, a dark cloud looms over Hakimi’s career, even as on the field, he does continue to perform.
