Meanwhile, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued a reminder to political parties in the state to strictly adhere to electoral laws. Agboke noted that party primaries are expected to take place between November 24 and December 15, 2025, emphasizing that the law requires a transparent nomination process.

According to him, “Free and fair elections begin with internal democracy. The integrity of any election starts with how parties choose their candidates.”

INEC stressed that premature campaigns could lead to sanctions, urging everyone involved in the Osun governorship election to follow the rules.
