Things got worse in the 25th minute when captain Andre Ayew was given his marching orders following a foul on Comoros goalkeeper.
Comoros took a 2-0 lead in the 62nd minute through another fine strike that left the Black Stars goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott helpless.
While the Ghanaians showed signs of a fightback in the 64th minute and drew the game level in the 77th, Comoros snatched an 85th-minute winner to take the game away.
The West Africans, therefore, exited the tournament at the group stage with just a solitary point from three games.
