The Black Stars of Ghana suffered a shock to Comoros in a Group C ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

A 2-3 defeat to the tiny East Africans see the four-time winners of the tournament exit at the group stage.

The Black Stars, who needed an outright win to hope for a favorable result in the other game between Morocco and Gabon, fell behind to a 3rd-minute strike by El Fardou Ben.

Things got worse in the 25th minute when captain Andre Ayew was given his marching orders following a foul on Comoros goalkeeper.

Comoros took a 2-0 lead in the 62nd minute through another fine strike that left the Black Stars goalkeeper, Joseph Wollacott helpless.

While the Ghanaians showed signs of a fightback in the 64th minute and drew the game level in the 77th, Comoros snatched an 85th-minute winner to take the game away.

The West Africans, therefore, exited the tournament at the group stage with just a solitary point from three games.
