Less than 24hrs following the death of the senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Senator Adebayo Osinowo, who died after battling an unpublished illness, Nigeria has lost another politician to death.

The latest casualty happens to be the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Council of Enugu State, Hon Patrick Omeje.

Hon Patrick is reported to have died in the early hours of Tuesday, June 16.

A government official statement reveals that the deceased only took ill last week of what was alleged to be malaria that he complained of. His demise has left the state in ruse shock according to the statement.

The late Hon Patrick was among the three incumbent Council chairmen that were elected in the last Local Government polls.

As at the time of filing this report, his family is yet to make an official statement over his demise.
