Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, on Tuesday met with his counterparts within the southwest region.
Akeredolu, who is also the Chairman of the South West Governors’ Forum met his counterparts within the region in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, against the backdrop of speculations surrounding his alleged incapacitation and his absence from Ondo State.
Present at the meeting were Dapo Abiodun of Ogun, Engr Seyi Makinde of Oyo Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos, and Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti.

In a statement issued by Richard Olatunde, the Chief Press Secretary to the Ondo State Governor, Akeredolu talked about the importance of continuous collaboration and cooperation among the states in South-West in order to effectively address common challenges and pursue shared goals.
The governor expressed his deep appreciation to his counterparts for their support.
The statement reads: “Governor Akeredolu, who appreciated the governors for their solidarity, harped on continuous collaboration among the Southwest States.
“Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde, said the Forum is praying for Governor Akeredolu, adding that he has the support of all the governors in the region.
