English actress Alexandra Louise Bastian, known for her role in Hollyoaks, has revealed she has been diagnosed with stage two breast cancer.

In an Instagram post on Monday, Bastian, 42, shared that the diagnosis came as a shock while she was still breastfeeding. She explained that she is undergoing chemotherapy and will also have a single mastectomy and radiotherapy.

“It was a total shock,” Bastian said. “There are mornings when I forget, but then it hits me again. I’m still trying to come to terms with it.”
