The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that it will present Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa with his certificate of return on Monday, following his victory in the Ondo governorship primary election.

The announcement was disclosed by Nze Duru, the party’s Deputy National Organising Secretary, in an interview with PUNCH Online on Sunday.

According to Duru, the presentation will take place at the national secretariat in Abuja, although the exact timing and context of the event are unclear.

The development comes after National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje called for unity among APC members, urging aggrieved aspirants to support Aiyedatiwa ahead of the November 16 governorship poll.

Aiyedatiwa was declared winner of the primary election by Governor Usman Ododo-led Primary Election Committee, but the result has been contested due to allegations of irregularities and violence.

Six aspirants, including Senator Jimoh Ibrahim and Olusola Oke, have filed petitions challenging Aiyedatiwa’s victory and demanding a fresh primary.
