Former senate president, Ken Nnamani has expressed optimism that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will take over the five states in the south-east come 2023 general election.
Out of the five states in the region, only Ebonyi and Imo are under the control of the party.
While speaking during a zonal stakeholders’ meeting in Enugu on Thursday, Nnamani, said the party’s fortunes will soon change in the region

He said all hands must be on deck for the party to achieve its goals in the five south-east states.

The APC chieftain, who defected to the APC from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in 2017, warned against portraying APC as anti-Igbo, noting the notion has severely affected the party’s success in the south-east.
