The Action Peoples Party (APP) has called on Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, to seek re-election under its platform in 2027.
The APP Chairman in Rivers State, Sunny Wokekoro, made this known during a solidarity visit by the party’s immediate past leadership led by Kenneth Atata at the party’s secretariat in Port Harcourt on Saturday.

Wokekoro emphasized that the party would make a significant impact in the upcoming local government elections on October 5, signaling its intent to reshape the political landscape in Rivers State.
He clarified that Governor Fubara is neither a member nor the owner of the APP, stating, “This party has been in existence since 2017, predating any of us who have just joined.”
Wokekoro encouraged other well-meaning politicians, including members of the State and National Houses of Assembly, to join the APP, urging party faithful to remain committed to advancing the party’s goals.
The APP National Chairman, Uchenna Nnadi, praised Wokekoro for his leadership in raising the party’s profile in Rivers State.
