As Arsenal gears up for the upcoming summer transfer window, reports suggest that the Gunners are eyeing a move for Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres, who has emerged as one of the most prolific strikers globally. With an impressive record of 30 goals and 6 assists in 37 games this season, Gyokeres has even outscored Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.

However, competition looms for Arsenal as their London rivals Chelsea are also reportedly interested in the Swedish striker. Speculation mounts that Viktor Gyokeres could be inclined to leave Sporting Lisbon if his manager Ruben Amorim departs for Liverpool.

Despite Gyokeres’ hefty release clause of £85.5 million, his stellar performance of 36 goals and 15 assists in 42 appearances has captured the attention of clubs seeking to strengthen their attacking options.

Both Arsenal and Chelsea are reportedly preparing offers for Gyokeres as they aim to bolster their attacking prowess ahead of the upcoming season.
