On Sunday, Arsenal claimed the top spot in the Premier League, edging ahead of Manchester City after securing a 1-0 victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

A first-half goal from Leandro Trossard ensured Mikel Arteta’s side emerged victorious over the Red Devils.

As a result of this win, Arsenal now sit one point ahead of Manchester City in the Premier League standings.

However, it’s worth noting that the Gunners have played more games than Pep Guardiola’s side at this point in the season.

Currently, Arsenal have accumulated 86 points from 37 games, while Manchester City have 85 points from 36 games.

Manchester City will have the chance to reclaim the top spot if they secure a win against Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday.
