Tomiyasu and Saliba were taken off injured as Arsenal lost 5-3 in a penalty shootout against Sporting after a 1-1 draw.

Speaking after the game, Arteta said at his post-match press conference, “Obviously, we lost Tomi very early in the game and we lost Saliba.

He added, “Tomiyasu looks pretty serious, for his reaction straight away and what he said to me. Obviously, it is very early and difficult to know.
