Arsenal is reportedly looking to intercept Chelsea’s move to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli, according to Corriere Dello Sport. The Gunners had shown interest in the Nigerian striker last summer but cooled their pursuit this year in favor of targeting Benjamin Sesko.
With Sesko deciding to stay with RB Leipzig, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is exploring other options. Chelsea has proposed a loan plus swap deal involving Romelu Lukaku going to Napoli and Osimhen moving to Stamford Bridge.
While Arsenal has yet to make a formal offer for Victor Osimhen, they are now back in the race. Alternatively, Arteta is considering Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres, who impressed with 29 goals and 10 assists in 33 league games last season.
