Arsenal are prepared to sign Raheem Sterling from Chelsea on transfer deadline day, but only if two specific conditions are met.

The UK Independent reports that Arsenal wants Chelsea to terminate Sterling’s contract, as they are not willing to pay a transfer fee for the 29-year-old, who still has three years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge.

Additionally, Sterling’s current weekly salary of ÂŁ325,000 at Chelsea is a concern. Arsenal has stipulated that Sterling must agree to a significant pay cut for the deal to go through.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, who has worked with Raheem Sterling before at Manchester City, is keen to bring the England international on board once these conditions are fulfilled.
