EPL: Chelsea Face Threat as Rudiger Refuses Deal Extension

Chelsea defender, Antonio Rudiger who is now in the final 12 months of his contract has refused to pen down a new contract with the club.

According to a source, Rudiger who was born on 3rd, March 1993 has refused a contract extension due to wage demand.

The central defender has not put pen to paper for the reason of concentrating on his performances on the pitch with the motive of helping Chelsea to another successful season.

He has had his senior career around 3 different clubs including VfB Stuttgart, where he began his career, Roma, and currently in Chelsea.

Rudiger has been on fine form since Thomas Tuchel took over as Chelsea manager earlier this year.

Several top European clubs including Real Madrid and PSG have shown interest in the 28-year-old Blues star.

According to SportsMail, Chelsea has now offered fresh terms that will see him earn around £125,000-per-week as his deal runs out in 2022.
