Dismisses opposition coalition’s chances in 2027
Daniel Bwala, a presidential aide and former campaign spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, says the ex-Vice President may never become Nigeria’s president despite multiple attempts.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Monday, Bwala dismissed the possibility of Atiku and other opposition leaders, including Peter Obi and Rotimi Amaechi, unseating President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.
“There is my former principal who believes that he is going to win,” Bwala said. “In all honesty, I have expressed my opinion that it may never have been destined by God for him to be president of Nigeria because he has done everything he needs to do to be president and he did not win.”

Bwala added that the 2023 election presented Atiku with his biggest political opportunity, but “he will never have that kind of privilege again.”
Bwala, who served as Atiku’s campaign spokesperson during the 2023 polls, has since switched allegiance to President Tinubu.
