Veteran Nollywood actress Ayo Mogaji has opened up about why she ended her 13-year marriage with retired footballer Victor Ayodele Oduleye.
Mogaji, who has a 20-year-old son with actor Jibola Dabo, married Oduleye in 2006. In a recent interview with actress Biola Bayo on the ‘Talk To Be’ podcast, she accused Oduleye of abuse.
She shared details of their relationship, saying, “We fell in love but I endured beatings over the smallest things. Even in England, the abusive language, the mental torture, the physical abuse—it was too much. I would advise anyone in such a situation to leave.”

Ayo Mogaji recalled how she often had to escape their home to avoid being alone with Oduleye, fearing further abuse. “It got to a point where, if it was just the two of us at home, I would go outside and sit until someone else came around. We were together for thirteen years and have been separated for four years now,” she explained.
