Chef Lata Tondon, the Guinness World Record holder in the longest cooking category has replied to alleged Nigerian trolls on her social media pages.
Tondon called for peace after receiving “discourteous” comments from some Nigerians on Twitter.
The situation almost escalated into a war of words between Nigerians and Indians on social media.

She said:
“A humble request to all my sisters and brothers in Nigeria and India to maintain peace and wait for Guinness to officially announce if the current record is broken or not. Please don’t make it a competition, it is just a record my friends. I am peace loving person and i wish same for you.”
Chef Lata had congratulated Hilda Baci, the current record holder for the world’s longest cooking marathon who recently cooked for 100 hours, pending confirmation by Guinness World Record.
In 2019, Chef Lata completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in Rewa, India.
It was a remarkable achievement that demonstrated her exceptional culinary skills and dedication to her craft.
It was said that despite the challenges Chef Lata faced during the marathon, she remained focused and determined to succeed.
