Bandits Kill Baptist Pastor in Kaduna

Suspected bandits on Monday evening shot dead a pastor of a Baptist Church in Kaduna.

The incident which occurred in Lisuru Gida, Ikulu Chiefdom, Zango Kataf Local Government Area of the state also saw the killing of another resident in the attack.

A resident who confirmed the incident said the gunmen opened fire on the victims while on their way from the farm about 6pm in the evening.

The source confirmed the perpetrators to be Fulani herdsmen, why have perpetually put the community under threat in recent times.

“The Fulani have turned our farms into grazing fields and we have been living under security threats.
“Neighbouring communities have always always been suspicious of the local Fulani who we see as our neighbour,” the source said.

The Kaduna state police spokesperson was yet to comment on the incident as at press time.
