Benue University Vice-Chancellor Dies of Coronavirus | Daily Report Nigeria

The Academic Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Benue State University Deputy, Prof Godwin Achinge, has reportedly died of Coronavirus.

Prof Achinge, who was also actively serving as the Vice-Chairman of the Benue State Action Committee on the dreaded virus, had earlier being confirmed positive for the virus.

Reliable sources stated that the renowned academia died in the afternoon of Sunday July 5th, in a hospital in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

His death was confirmed by a member of the Covid-19 action committee in Benue state to newsmen.

The Benue State University vice-chancellor joins a long list of high placed Nigerians to have become casualties of the virus that has infected almost 30,000 people in the last four months.
