The Presidency has confirmed that the suspended Humanitarian Minister, Dr. Betta Edu, will not return to her position.

The Special Adviser to President Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this announcement on Sunday while featuring on Channels Television’s “Politics Today”.

According to Onanuga, Dr. Edu will not return as Minister, emphasizing that President Tinubu has made his decision.

When asked about Dr. Edu’s suspension, which has not resulted in formal termination, Onanuga insisted, “She is gone.”

Recall that Dr. Betta Edu was suspended in January over alleged misappropriation of funds in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.

She has been under investigation since, with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) yet to make its findings public.
