BREAKING: Again, APC Shifts Timetable For Primaries

The All Progressive Congress has once again adjusted its timetable for governorship, State House of Assembly, Senate, and House of Representatives primary elections.

The move is coming just a day after the National Working Committee announced a postponement of the screening of the presidential screening exercise.

The shift in the primaries was made public on Monday by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, at the APC Secretariat in Abuja.

Morka noted that only state and local government delegates will decide the fate of the 145 governorship and State House of Assembly aspirants who were recently cleared on Thursday, May 26.

Also, the fate of the 340 senatorial aspirants who were cleared at the party’s recent screening exercise will be determined by their local government delegates.

Meanwhile the House of Representatives primary election will be determined by local government delegates on Saturday, May 28.

However, Morka added that the presidential primary fixed for May 29th and 30th will still hold as planned.

“It will be held as scheduled on Sunday, 29th – Monday, 30th of May, 2022,” he said.
