The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has called on Nigerians to comply with the directive issued by President Muhammadu Buhari on the naira notes policy.
According to Emefiele, he met with the leadership of at least 15 commercial banks since Buhari gave his directive on the policy.

The CBN governor, who visited the Aso Villa a few hours after the President announced that only the old N200 note will remain legal tender until April 10, 2023, said the meeting with the bank executives earlier was to ensure an ample supply of the old N200 notes to alleviate the sufferings of Nigerians.
