However, contrary to the previous adjustment, the new changes will see the primary election of the 340 senatorial aspirants earlier slated for Friday, May 27 to hold on Saturday, May 28.

Also, the primary election for the House of Representatives aspirants, which was initially fixed for Saturday, May 28, will now hold on Friday, May 27.

However, the date for the primary election for 145 governorship and State House of Assembly aspirants remains unchanged and will hold on Thursday, May 26.

National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, who apologized over the adjustment, said “the special convention for the Presidential Primary will be held as scheduled on Sunday, 29th – Monday, 30th of May, 2022.”
