A federal high court in Lagos has granted suspended Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele, bail in the sum of N20 million.

Daily Report Nigeria reports that Emefiele was granted bail on Tuesday after pleading not guilty to the two counts bordering on the alleged illegal possession of firearms and ammunition.

The bail was granted with one surety.

Emefiele is facing two counts of illegal possession of firearms and ammunition preferred against him by the Federal Ministry of Justice before the vacation judge, Justice Nicholas Oweibo.
