BREAKING: FG Opens Schools, Lifts Interstate Travel Ban

With effect from July 1, The Federal Government of Nigeria has lifted the ban placed on Inter-state travels. However, journeys would only be allowed outside curfew hours.

This was announced by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, Boss Mustapha, during a daily briefing of the task force in Abuja Today (Monday).

Mustapha also disclosed that the Federal Government has approved the resumption of domestic flights in the country.

According to Mustapha who also serves as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the latest developments were contained in the task force fifth’s interim report submitted to President Muhammadu Buhari earlier today (Monday).

Also, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the extension of the Phase Two lockdown in the country by Four weeks.

Also, the Federal government has ordered the safe reopening of schools nationwide as it directs that all students in graduating classes in primary and secondary schools should return to school with preventive measures in check.

Thus pupils in Primary six and students I’m JSS3 and SSS3 would return to school to enable them prepare for their final exams.

Domestic flights were ordered to resume operations across the county with implementation of recommended guidelines as well.
