Unknown gunmen have reportedly kidnapped the traditional ruler of Bukpe community in Kwali Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Alhaji Hassan Shamidozhi.
According to report, the monarch was abducted at gunpoint while taking some fresh air at the front of his palace.
Confirming the incident to newsmen, the monarch’s brother, Malam Jibrin D. Gimba, said the unknown gunmen invaded the area around 9:32 pm on Wednesday March 30.
Gimba, who is the Chief Imam of the Community’s Central Mosque said;
“I just walked into my house after he his palace when he said he wanted to take some shower after which he will come out rest in front of his palace to take some fresh air {sic}”
“Some few minutes later, I started hearing gunshots… I watched through my window and discovered that the kidnappers had whisked him away.”
It is understood that the attack was the third in the community in recent times.
As at the time of filling this report, the kidnappers were yet to make any contact with the family.
Police, however, have been notified with some officers visiting the community.
