Newly crowned Spanish La Liga champions, Real Madrid came from behind to send Manchester City out of the UEFA Champions League semi-final on Wednesday night.

Riyad Mahrez increased City’s lead to 5-3 on aggregate on the 73rd minute, leaving Madrid trailing by two goals.

However, Rodrygo, who came on for Toni Kroos pulled one back on 90th minute. The young star drew Madrid level a minute later to take the game to extra time.

Captain and talisman, Karim Benzema scored a fine spot kick five minutes into extra time after being fouled inside the City penalty box.

The European kings held on till the rest of extra time to set up another Champions League final with Liverpool.
