Manchester City on Wednesday night defeated Sevilla to win the 2023 UEFA Super Cup.
City, who are UEFA Champions League winners triumphed over last season’s UEFA Europa League winners 5-4 on penalties after a 1-1 score line in 90 minutes.
Algerian striker, Youssef El-Nesri gave Sevilla the lead with a bullet header in the 25th minute before Cole Palmer levelled scores in the 60th minute with his own header.
Sevilla had numerous chances to win the game but for the exploits of City goalkeeper, Ederson Jr.

Defender Nemanja Gudelj missed the last of five spot kicks for Sevilla after City buried all of their penalties in the back of the net.
The Citizens thus add the UEFA Super Cup to their Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League wins of last season.
