BREAKING: Oyo Govt Seals Commercial Banks, Telecoms

Oyo Govt Seals Commercial Banks, Telecoms

The Oyo State Government has sealed off several commercial banks and telecommunications masts in the Ibadan metropolis.

The action was prompted by the failure of the establishments to comply with the payment of revenue owed to the state government.

The directive was contained in a statement signed by Prince Dotun Oyelade, Commissioner for Information and Orientation.

NLC: Banks Declare Nationwide Strike

Led by the Director of Land Use Charge, Esv Olufisayo Ogunbiyi the Enforcement team from the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development conducted a thorough tour of the city to ensure compliance.

Before the visit, the banks and telecommunications companies were duly served notices.

Ogunbiyi affirmed that the Oyo State Government has zero tolerance for non-compliance with state policies.

He stressed that all business owners must ensure that dues were paid into the state government account to ensure business operations were not disrupted when operations resumed.
