Bamise: Lagos State Government to Arraign BRT Driver, Andrew Nice

Andrew Nice Omininikoron, the BRT driver accused of murdering Oluwabamise Ayanwola, a 22-year-old fashion designer, will be charged before a Lagos High Court sitting at the Tafawa Balewa Square on Tuesday, March 22, 2022.

Before Justice Sherifat Sonaike of the Lagos High Court sitting in Tafawa Balewa Square, Omininikoron will be charged with conspiracy, murder, and two counts of rape (TBS).

Dr. Jide Martins, the Director of Public Prosecutions’ office, submitted a legal opinion suggesting that the BRT driver be charged.

Ayanwola went missing on February 26 after boarding a BRT bus bound for Oshodi at the Chevron Bus stop around 7 P.m. She worked as a fashion designer at Chevron Estate in Ajah, Lagos, up until her death, but spent her weekends with her sister in Ota, Ogun State. Unfortunately, her body was discovered dumped by the side of the road on Carter Bridge on Lagos Island.
