BREAKING: Police Teargas PDP Governorship Delegates in Delta

Delta State Peoples Democratic Party, ‘PDP’ Governorship Primary slated for today may 25, has started on a rough note as delegates who assembled at the Event Center were teargased by some police officers who were trying to control the surging crowd.

It was gathered that at about 8am security personnel were already stationed at the gate of the Event Center.

The personnel who were very professional only allowed those identified as delegates and journalist into the hall.

However, things took a twist when the PDP security committee took over the control of the gate which lead to a chaotic situation. In other to arrest the drifting situation, the police officers at the gate fired teargas cannisters which further worsen the situation.

Some Delegates and an aspirant who was coming in at that time were seen with teary eyes and had to cover their nose with handkerchief.

As at the time of filling this report accreditation is yet to begin.
