Liz Truss, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, has resigned.
Truss resigned from her position on Thursday, barely two months after assuming office.
Truss, who was a former foreign secretary to Boris Johnson, succeed the latter as UK Prime Minister on September 5, 2022.

Truss had defeated her closest rival, Rishi Sunak in a leadership election only 180,000 dues-paying members of the ruling party were allowed to vote.
