Ecuador captain, Enner Valencia has scored the first goal of the 2022 World Cup.

The experienced striker dusted himself up to slot home from the penalty spot on 16th minute after he was brought down by the Qatari goalkeeper, Saad Alsheeb.

Valencia also had a goal rightly disallowed for offside early on in the opening game of the 2022 World Cup.
