The Zonal Electoral Committee has announced Odimodi as venue for the forthcoming elections of the Ijaw Youth Council, Western Zone.
This was contained in a terse statement released on Sunday by ZECO Chairman, Comrade Emmanuel Akpule and Comrade Icon-James Tam, ZECO Secretary.
According to ZECO, Odimodi was arrived upon to host the elective convention after “thorough selective process.”

“We hereby inform all members that the 2024 Convention of the Ijaw Youth Council, Western Zone shall hold between June 4 – 5 at Odimodi community, Iduwini Kingdom, Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.

“Odimodi, a peaceful Ijaw community was picked as venue to host the convention after a thorough and thoughtful selective process by ZECO.
“By this, we implore all members of Council to come in their usually peaceful behaviour to the glory of all Ijaw nation.
