President Muhammadu Buhari has sent a congratulatory message to Engr Mustafa Balarabe Shehu on his election as President-elect, World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO).
He was formerly President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE).
President Buhari hailed the overwhelming endorsement of the 59-year-old Kano indigene by the members of the body at the World Engineering summit in Costa Rica.
The president called it “a testament to his passion for the field of human endeavour as well as his dedication towards ensuring a better lease of life for Nigerians especially rural dwellers”.

While urging Shehu to use his wealth of experience and contacts to address issues bedeviling the profession in the country, Buhari pointed out collapsed buildings and improvement in the energy sector.

Presidential spokesman Femi Adesina quoted the president as saying: “He wishes the accomplished and multiple award-winning Electrical Engineer a successful tenure”
