He revealed that the Governor of Taraba State, Agbu Kefas, and another unnamed governor from the North-West region are set to officially join the ruling party “in a matter of days.”

“In just a matter of days, the Governor of Taraba State and another Governor from the North West will officially join our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC),” Ahmad posted.
The disclosure comes amid ongoing political realignments across states as politicians position themselves for 2027.
As of June 2025, at least two sitting governors had already defected to the APC — Pastor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State and Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State.
There have also been strong rumours that Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah, may be next to decamp, as party insiders continue to court influential state leaders from the opposition.
