Borussia Dortmund striker, Erling Haaland, has disclosed the toughest defender he has played against.
The former Red Bull Salzburg ace identified Virgil van Dijk of Liverpool as the most rugged defender he has ever played against.
The 21-year-old made the revelation via an interview with ESPN.

Haaland has stared down some of the world’s best in his short career for both club and country.
However, he has not been able to overcome the Dutch player with whom he has competed on the different occasions.
Haaland is a prolific goalscorer who is recognised for his pace, athleticism and finishing ability.
He emerged the first teenager to score in five consecutive UEFA Champions League games during the 2019–20 season at Salzburg.

He was the 2020 Golden Boy award winner and had also won the Bundesliga Player of the 2020/2021 Season award.
The forward also finished as the leading scorer of the Champions League that same season.
Haaland said: “You know how tall he is, how strong he is and how fast he is, and also the timing is crazy.”
“I don’t think I won one duel against him because he’s a physical monster.”
