Burna Boy Wins Best International Act at BET Awards 2023
Nigerian music star, Damini Ogulu, a.k.a Burna Boy has won Best International Act at the 2023 edition of Black Entertainment Awards, BET.
The ‘African Giant’ overcame competition from likes of fellow Nigerian, Ayra Starr, Central Cee and Stormzy, among others to clinch the BET awards.
Burna Boy mother, Bose Ogulu, received the award on behalf of the singer even though he was present.

The win adds to Burna Boy’s previous wins in the category in 2019 and 2022.
His 2022 album ‘Love, Damini’ has enjoyed worldwide success, which contributed greatly to this new feat.
Other nominees in the category included Aya Nakamura, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola and Uncle Waffles.
