The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has praised Ademola Lookman for his outstanding performance in Nigeria’s 3-0 victory over Benin Republic in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match on Saturday.
Lookman played a key role by scoring two goals, leading the Super Eagles to their win at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo. His teammate, Victor Osimhen, also added a goal to the tally.
Lookman was named Man of the Match for his efforts. Following the game, CAF took to Twitter to highlight his impressive week, posting a photo of Lookman with the caption, “What a week Ademola Lookman is having.”
Before the match, Lookman had been included in the Ballon d’Or shortlist of the world’s top 30 players.
