CAF Opens Bid For 2027 AFCON | Daily Report Nigeria

The Confederation of Africa (CAF) has declared the bidding process for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) open.

CAF called on interested countries to come forward with their bids to the continent’s soccer governing body.

The body is also expected to announce the host nation later this year after the section.

Several countries have expressed their interest in hosting the competition.

However, the interested countries must secure the backing of their governments to push their bid through.

Nigeria and the Benin Republic have submitted a joint bid to host the 2025 AFCON finals.

Morocco, Algeria, and Zambia have also put forward bids to host the same edition.

CAF will name the hosts for the 2025 and 2027 AFCON later this year.
