EPL: Watford Thrash Man United 4-1

Manchester United have heaped two consecutive league defeats following Saturday’s 4-1 loss to Watford at Vicarage Road Stadium.

Recall, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s citizens suffered a 2-0 home defeat to Manchester City before the international break.

Manchester United had already conceded two goals in the first half before the hosts scored both 3rd and 4th goals in the injury time after Harry Maguire was sent off.

Manchester United conceded a penalty which was missed by Ismaila Sarr in 11th minute after Scott McTominay pushed Joshua King.

The former Everton star, King subsequently put the Golden Boys ahead by converting Emmanuel Dennis’ assist in the 28th minute.

Senegal international, Sarr overcame his disappointment by doubling the hosts’ goal a minute to the end of first half.

However, the Red Devils pulled one back through Christiano Ronaldo’s assist in the early minute of the second half when Van de Beek headed the ball from close range into the net.

Joao Pedro had scored the third goal by utilizing Emmanuel Dennis’ assist before the Super Eagles striker also converted assist provided by Ben Foster both in the stoppage time.

The visitors captain, Maguire who was shown a yellow card in the 62nd minute received his second yellow card seven minutes later following a rough challenge on Tom Cleverley.

Solksjaer’s team now sit seventh while the Yellow Army are now three places above the relegation zone.
