EPL: Man City Trounce Man United 2-0 at Old Trafford

Manchester United have suffered another home defeat to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

The Sky Blues trounced the Red Devils 2-0 in the Manchester derby encounter on Saturday.

City bounced back on United following last weekend’ s 2-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Following the loss, Man United have suffered 4 league defeats and 6 in all competitions.

Man United’s savior, Cristiano Ronaldo failed to shine as his side lost another three points to their rivals.

The former Juventus star who has always saved his side was overwhelmed by the City soldiers.

United’s duo of Eric Bailly and Luke Shaw have been instrumental to their defeat with below par performances.

Bailly had a own goal through Joao Cancelo’s cross in the first seven minutes of the game.

The visitors then doubled their lead through Bernado Silva’s goal in the last minute of the first half.

Luke Shaw had cost his team the goal after a defensive blunder.

The defeat has therefore, compounded the pressure on Solskjaer whose job at Old Trafford remains at stake.

United remain 5th on the league table, while City were occupy second spot as third-placed Liverpool are yet to play their 11th round of the English Premier League.
