Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola stated that his team doesn’t have to win the Premier League title or the FA Cup for him to consider this season a success.
Ahead of City’s match against Wolves, Guardiola’s team could find themselves four points behind Arsenal, depending on the Gunners’ result against Bournemouth earlier that day at the Emirates. If City drops points, it could give Arsenal the upper hand in the title race.
However, Guardiola insists that the outcome of the league won’t change his opinion about his players or the season’s success.

He said: “It’s not about winning or losing that will change my opinion about this season in terms of what they have done.
“If we win these two prizes it’s not going to change at all my opinion about that, about the club if we win or don’t win the title.
“Of course we want it but we are fighting for something no team in this country has done ever — ever — so of course it’s a big challenge and we want it.”
